I am Agnes from Cluj-Napoca, Romania and I would like to introduce myself and my blog a bit to you.
I’m from Hungary and I moved to Cluj just a couple years ago to study History and to do my PhD. It means that I know how exciting (and sometimes scary) to discover a new country, culture, language. I know how hard it can be when you have to solve daily life problems like shopping in a small shop, communicate with the seller, buy a train/bus ticket, ask for information on the street, order at a fast food store in the middle of the night after a long party.
Why this blog?
This blog is dedicated to showing you that these difficulties are worth it. Romania is such a great country with amazing landscape and cities (Cluj-Napoca especially) and of course with great people. On my blog, I try to show you all beauties of this country, from little villages up to the vibrating ‘big city life’. I won’t forget to show you the gorgeous nature around us. Besides these, I try to give you traveling tips which are very necessary if you are a foreigner in Romania: what places to visit, how to get from one destination to the other, where to sleep/eat/drink/party. I will give you some language tips too, important expressions to help you to not get lost 🙂
I hope you will enjoy my articles and they will help you to get the courage to visit Romania. With my language tips, I hope I can help you to solve communication issues to have a more relaxed trip in this country.
Also you can contact me anytime to get more tips or help, especially if you are in Cluj-Napoca 🙂
